Article processing charges (APC)

To support the cost of publication, the journal charges an article processing fee for manuscripts accepted after June 2025, as follows:

• Full Reports, Review Articles, Technical Reports: RM 1,000.00 (USD 250 for non-Malaysian corresponding authors).
• Case Reports: RM 500.00 (USD 150 for non-Malaysian corresponding authors).

The publication fee will be covered by the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), provided that the first or corresponding author is affiliated with the Faculty. The implementation of article processing charges (APCs), including any applicable waiver, does not influence the journal's editorial and peer-review processes and does not guarantee manuscript acceptance.

Payment Methods

For authors who are required to pay the publication fee, payment can be made through either of the following methods:

1. Direct Bank Transfer

Payment may be made directly to the following UKM bank account:

• Bank Account Number: 8600081140
• Bank Name: CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad
• Beneficiary Name: Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia

After completing the payment, authors must email the proof of payment, together with their full name, mailing address, and manuscript ID, to medhealthukm@gmail.com to facilitate the issuance of an official receipt by the Finance Department.

Please note: An invoice will not be issued after payment has been made.

2. Inter-Departmental Charges (i-Fast) for UKM Authors

UKM-affiliated authors who wish to pay the publication fee using faculty or research grant funds may arrange payment through the i-Fast inter-departmental charging system.

The following information and documentation are required:

• The relevant fund or grant number.
• A confirmation letter from the Project Head authorising the use of the grant funds to cover the publication fee.
